Eva von Redecker is a philosopher and nonfiction writer. Her work, translated into more than a dozen languages, focuses on property, social change, domination and liberation. Her latest book, Bleibefreiheit (“The Freedom to Stay”) proposes to think of freedom in temporal terms as “abundance of fulfilled time”. Bleibefreiheit has been named “book of the year” by the magazine Der SPIEGEL and shortlisted for the NDR non fiction prize. In 2020/2021, Eva held a Marie-Słodowska-Curie fellowship at University of Verona, Italy, during which she pursued research on the theory of authoritarian character.
